(Music and Lyrics by Mack David and Al Hoffman and Jerry Livingston, Book adapted by Marcy Heisler, Music adapted and arranged by Bryan Louiselle) at the Westwego Performing Arts Theatre, 177 Sala Ave. in Westwego, March 23, 24, 15 & April 1 with performances Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30PM and Saturdays & Sunday matinees at 2PM. Joy Chun directs a double cast of over 100 kids ages 7-12, with choreography by Kellen Frisch.

(3/9/2012) The 43rd Annual Jazz Festival at Loyola University New Orleans presents world-renowned trombonist Ed Neumeister in a one-night-only concert with the Loyola Jazz Band on Saturday, March 10 at 4:30 p.m. in Louis J. Roussel Performance Hall. The two-day festival, presented by Loyola’s Jazz Studies Program, also includes a performance by the Loyola Faculty Jazz Ensemble, masterclasses with Neumeister and other acclaimed jazz musicians and performances by high school jazz bands and combos from across the country.

(3/5/2012) The Montage Fine and Performing Arts Series at Loyola University New Orleans will host two free music festivals this month. On March 16 and 17, trumpeter Ben Albright and percussionist Nobue Matsuoka ‘94 will be featured guests at the annual Trumpet and Percussion Festival. On March 24, high school bands from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama will travel to Loyola University to participate in ensemble performances and workshops as part of the Invitational Bands Festival, featuring guest clinician and conductor, David Holsinger.
