Boys and girls, this is what's called a gay wet dream come true.

Tim Burton? Hmmmm . . .

And she's only 34?!?!?

This makes me very happy. She would bring the proper 'kick ass' element to this, while working that regal thing, and looking the way she does.......

I can't even form words right now

I'm rejoicing Burton hasn't cast Helenah Bonham-Carter!

Jolie is a fabulous choice, though, and this sounds like a great idea for a film.

You know Tim is gonna cast Helena Bonham Carter in the movie somewhere.Maybe she will play Princes Aurora (LOL)and I will be shocked if Johnny Depp does not show up in it.

A CGI Johnny Depp can play her crow.

Carter can play one of the Fairies. She'd be totally fine in that role.

"Carter can play one of the Fairies. She'd be totally fine in that role."

Since they're my favorite parts of the film, I take great exception to this - she matches NONE of them!

She can play the wife of King Stefan - who doesn't speak.

Yes, she does speak!

"And you're not offended, Your Excellency?"

She can play the spindle.

She can play on of the hogs that goes looking for Princess Aurora as she's growing up.

Can't you see it? "We've searched EVERY cradle, your majesty!"

Well, yes I can.

But frankly, I got a little stuck imagining Brad being chained up in the dungeon. My mind works that way.

Brad? In chains? As long as that beard is gone.

Frankly, anyone else think that Nicole Kidman would look great as Maleficent. If there is more of an action spin, I'm all for Angelina.

If Angelina turns it down, I think Cher should jump on it.

C'MON! Can you imagine?!

I was smiling at the thought; thinking, "This must be too good to be true!"

And it is.

"Earlier this week, the news broke that Disney had hired its longtime collaborator Linda Woolverton ("Beauty and the Beast," "The Lion King") to work on the screenplay for the live-action take on the 50-year-old hit. (Maleficent is the evil fairy godmother in the Disney film; this story would be told, "Wicked"-like, from her perspective.)"

WHY LINDA?! WHY. LINDA. WHY. WHO SAID THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA.

That woman does NOT belong in Hollywood. Or Broadway.

She belongs in the deepest, darkest chamber of hell where we will never have to endure her butchered 'adaptations' of fantastic works of literature (Alice in Wonderland, The Vampire Chronicles). God, Linda. What do you want from us? X_X

A little "teaser poster."

Obviously I am not trying to fool anyone, this is just a quick thrown together thing for fun. I promise my photoshop skills are normally better.

To her credit, she did write Beauty and the Beast, which won the Oscar blah blah blah.

I try to forget about Lestat, but its a reoccurring nightmare.

What kind of action film would this be? I don't get that idea, but this casting is just *too* good.

The photoshop gives you an idea on how she would look. Although, this is Tim Burton so his Maleficent may have a purple face with yellow eyes and orange frizzy hair.

She pretty much confirmed it here at the end of this article:

"I see the value of entertainment," she said. "I have been a part of it and I continue to be a part of it. My next project is a Disney movie, you know, but I think we cannot just have that."
